This edition of the Social Media Week in Rome is a little subdued compared to other years (and perhaps also compared to the Milanese edition in February), even if in an enchanting setting like that of the Casa del Cinema, immersed in one of the most beautiful parks of Rome, the legendary Villa Borghese. The feeling I had right from the start was that it had become a bit too niche an event, frequented only by professionals and that in some way it was no longer able to carry out the initial task it had set itself: extending and broadening the debate on social media and digital culture to a broader and more transversal audience . However, there was no lack of enthusiasm and energy, nor were there any stimuli and opportunities to reflect on how our world is changing rapidly and how a digital revolution is already underway in which mobile devices are increasingly the protagonists .
For those unfamiliar with this initiative, Social Media Week Rome is an Uruguay Mobile Number List annual international event, which is also held simultaneously in other cities such as Los Angeles and Mexico City. There are numerous and varied "official" events that follow one another on the main theme, which in the 2015 edition is precisely " Upwardly Mobile: the rise of the connected class ". An intense week which saw contributions from industry experts, influencers, company managers, case histories and testimonies on topics such as the new frontiers of digital marketing , the impact of social media in the Food Industry, the evolution of digital business and digital recruitment and the role of digital networking in the mobility, sport and music sectors.
More info obviously on the official event website But let's go straight to the topic of the post which is inspired by one of the initiatives of the Roman Social Media Week, precisely from the event of 10 June, sponsored by Outbrain and entitled " New frontiers of digital marketing: how to make marketing activities scalable and efficient Native Advertising and Branded Content ”. These are the Speakers present at the event: Riccardo Scandellari (Blogger and Journalist); Alvise Zanardi (General Director, Il Messaggero), Davide Brunetti (Marketing Director, Fox International Channels Italy); Simone Rinzivillo (CTO & Co-founder, Mamadigital); Francesco Roncaglia (Sr. Portfolio Manager, Universal McCann). Opening words : Alberto Mari (Country Manager, Outbrain Italia). A round table full of stimuli and quite engaging, which is why I am here now to tell you, through my personal point of view, about this initiative and the reflections that tickled me.
